Matthew is a seasoned legal and compliance expert who has spent over four years managing subpoena response and legal process. In training over 20 paralegals in these intricate procedures, Matthew recognized the potential for innovation and pioneered the integration of AI to automate these complex processes. Matthew has worked at Google, Chime, Wells Fargo Securities, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he has consistently demonstrated his capability in navigating the challenging landscape of legal and compliance.

Matthew Dornfeld

Matthew Dornfeld, PhD

CTO

Matthew has almost 15 years experience as a software engineer, machine learning practitioner, and technology leader. He began working in machine learning while doing his PhD in physics. Since then, he's worked in a variety of individual contributor and managerial roles in engineering organizations at Capital One and Reddit. Most recently he has lead the Reddit Ads Ranking and Ads Retrieval teams as a staff engineer. He also has experience with launching zero to one fullstack machine learning applications and growing users, making him one of the few machine learning practitioners that has demonstrated success in the full technology, leadership, and business space of the field.
